Popis
The wilderness sanctuary stands in the desert as the sacred dwelling place commanded by God through Moses. From above, the outer courtyard is enclosed with linen hangings and supported by posts, with a blue, purple, and scarlet entrance curtain marking the way into the holy precinct. Inside the court, the altar of burnt offering sends smoke upward, and the bronze laver rests between the altar and the covered tent. The tabernacle itself rises at the far end, veiled and layered, representing the Holy Place and Most Holy Place where Israel approached the presence of the Lord according to His covenant instructions.
This scene reflects the pattern given in Exodus: a portable sanctuary for a pilgrim people, teaching holiness, sacrifice, cleansing, priestly mediation, and God’s desire to dwell among His people. It is well suited for teaching on the tabernacle, Old Testament worship, priesthood, atonement, biblical typology, and the continuity between the tent of meeting and the promise that God’s dwelling is with humanity.
