Vitruvian Man

A fractured male figure stands within the familiar circle and square of the Vitruvian Man, his outstretched body interrupted by broken limbs and exposed gaps. The classical symbol of human proportion and self-measurement is reworked into a meditation on humanity’s incompleteness: mankind can be studied, measured, and idealized, yet remains wounded apart from restoration. For Christian teaching, the piece speaks to the tension between the dignity of being made in the image of God and the damage of sin in fallen human nature. It is well suited for themes of creation, human identity, brokenness, redemption, apologetics, and discipleship resources addressing the limits of humanism.
